If you’re searching for a caffeinated pick-me-up, Gilbert’s Coffee Bar offers magnificent waterfront views, Blue Door boasts a must-visit patio, and the Roasted Record lets you browse music while your coffee brews.

Shopping in Stuart

Have credit card, will travel. With rows of boutiques, Stuart is made for those happy to shop ’til they drop. Grab a bag made from a recycled sail at 727 Sailbags, a one-of-a-kind gift at Gumbo Limbo, and some beach chic attire at Island Cotton. On Saturdays, the Market on Main is bursting with various local vendors selling produce, baked goods, and homemade items.

Things to do in Stuart

It’s impossible to be bored in Stuart. Fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and scuba diving are readily accessible at the many local beaches, and the 57-acre Coastal Center lets visitors get up close and personal with local marine life. Golfers should tee up at the Florida Club, the Champion’s Club, or Martin County Golf Course.

The artistically minded will love the Court House Cultural Center, the mosaics and brightly painted mural walls dotted throughout downtown Stuart, and the captivating performances at the Lyric Theatre. Music lovers should head down to the waterfront for the free weekly concert series or take in an outdoor concert at the Tuckahoe Mansion or Terra Fermata. History buffs will want to visit the Elliott Museum, which provides a fascinating window into Stuart’s history.

Stuart is just south of Port St. Lucie and is accessible via the 1 and the 95. Getting around is easy if you can access a personal car or rideshare service.

Want to get around without the emissions? The Stuart Tram travels through most of the downtown area, and has a mobile app with route and tram information. Stuart is also cyclist-friendly, with plenty of bike and e-bike rental options around.

Coming in by plane? Vero Beach (VRB) airport is the closest at 33 miles away. Larger airports nearby include Orlando International Airport, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, and Palm Beach International Airport.
